Turning cast iron into art.
We’re all about the details. Known for our beautiful cast iron products, we take special care to achieve the very best quality at every step in the manufacturing process.
Hand-crafted Design Master pattern makers refine every pattern by hand to ensure aesthetic detail and a precision fit.

Thoughtfully Constructed Our iron is a carefully calibrated combination of elements to assure the highest quality. This is maintained through hourly audits of the molten iron’s chemical make-up.

Naturally Molded Our iron is poured into a mold of natural sand and clay. The sand is the finest glacial sand in the world, and is precisely mixed with clay and sea coal to ensure its smoothness and cohesion in order to maintain the integrity of our design. The sand is pressed against the pattern “tool” for each individual mold and is reused again and again to minimize waste.

Precision Pour At our foundry, we understand that creating a beautiful cast iron product is a complicated process that requires attention to detail. Our sophisticated manufacturing technology ensures the highest quality and lasting beauty of our cast iron products. We work hard to control the speed of the pour, the opening of the mold and make sure the molten iron is maintained at an optimal temperature. This helps us avoid any pits or bubbles in the cast iron and ensures long-lasting, beautiful quality.

Extra Fine Surface Finish To ensure a beautiful enameled finish, we use the preferred old world method of achieving the smoothest surface possible. Our cast iron parts are sent through a blasting process to clean a microscopically thin layer of iron off the casting. This way, the enamel has a smooth, clean surface to adhere too, creating the beautiful, high-gloss finish that makes our Vermont Castings products so beautiful.

Offering higher efficiency heating, catalytic wood stoves are ideal for those who wish to replace a major portion of their heating needs with their wood stove. Note: A catalyst needs to be cleaned and maintained and generally needs to be replaced every 5 years or so.

  • Higher efficiency lowers fuel costs to heat your home.
  • Longer, more even heat output with thermostatic air control
  • Reduced particulates for a cleaner, more eco-friendly burn

Non-catalytic wood stoves are slightly more affordable and require less maintenance. Easy to start and operate, a non-catalytic stove is ideal for those with less heating demands.

  • Lively flame picture
  • Easy to use and maintain -
    no catalytic combustor
  • Hassle-free operation

Two-in-One Technology

Two-in-One Catalytic/Non-Catalytic Convertible wood stoves from Vermont Castings feature a unique, 3-STAGE burn system that creates heat three times. You’ll enjoy a cleaner, more efficient burn whether you operate in catalytic or non-catalytic mode.

  • Enjoy longer burn times
  • Low emissions for greater peace of mind
  • Save up to $1,400 in fuel costs*
